On Sunday, May 4 2551 (2008), The Institute of Information and Cultural Exchange, the World Buddhist University, will hold a Buddhist Forum entitled  "All in a Tangle". The Guest Speaker will be Anagarika Tevijjo (Ajarn David Holmes), He is a former lecturer for Chulalongkorn University in the Faculty of Arts In the English Department from1992 to 2002 who was born in Canada in 1940 in Winnipeg Manitoba, and, following secondary education attended McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario where he did a degree in Honours Philosophy, graduating 1993....... The Forum is held from 12.00-13.30 p.m. , the 3 rd floor, The World Fellowship of Buddhists HQ. , Benjasiri Park, Bangkok . Admission is free.

AIAN

The WBU’s Associated Institutions and Associates Network (AIAN)

The Associated Institutions and Associates Network (AIAN) is a Network composed of Institutions (including organizations and centres) as well as individual Associates (Buddhist scholars, teachers and leaders) who are committed to preserving, promoting and applying Buddhist teachings. In cooperation with the WBU they will engage in developing Buddhist research, spiritual practice, training/curriculum, and education. To join this Network, the organization’s program or the individual must participate in the study and/or practice of Buddhism as a major activity.

For Institutions, there are three levels of membership, A,B or C, which are based on the extent of the developed program, capacity and current level of self-sufficiency. Individual Associates must be scholars, teachers or leaders of Buddhism.
